Blood Lust
Chapter 1: Far Beginning
BLOOD DRIPPED from the ceiling and splashed to the floor. The slender young woman, standing to the side of a man, much her own age, was watching the crimson red liquid hit the stone floor. Aside from her, the man was looking away from the blood. He stepped forward and bent down in front of his queen.
"Milady," He whispered. The queen nodded with the curls of her black hair bouncing. The man bowed his head to her.
"Here is your feast, Milady." The man informed. The queen smiled.
"Thank you, Lord Dante. You may be dismissed." She said. Lord Dante stood up and walked from the room. Queen Miranda examined the dripping blood and the shadow above, where it was coming from.
"Lady, Reine," She whispered. The other woman in the room tore her eyes off the blood and looked to her queen. "Yes, Milady?" She inquired.
"Bring me my dinner." Miranda ordered. Reine bowed and walked over to a far wall. She untied a rope that was attached to a hook on the wall.
Just as the rope untied, a man's dead body fell to the floor, landing in the puddle of blood. A deep chuckle from the queen met Reine's ears. She risked a glance over to her. Queen Miranda was watching her. "I can see you don't enjoy your services to me for what I did to your last husband. You may be dismissed as well. I will ask for your assistance at midnight." Reine bowed and strolled out of the room to allow Miranda to feed.
The village was like any other in Elryin. The vampires were easy to spot, for their orange eyes give it away. The human villagers never report a vampire for it would be pointless. Queen Miranda is a vampire herself, and a blood craving one at that. Reine Misuki was a human who was cursed to serve Miranda and her family for eternity.
Queen Miranda is Lord Dante's mistress. He didn't envy vampires nor did he want a wife. He didn't want to marry. Queen Miranda wanted him and forced him to make her his mistress, if not his wife. Reine was well aware of that. She was well bent on avoiding the both of them. Lord Dante, on the other hand was well bent on avoiding Queen Miranda and trying to make love to Reine.
Reine walked up to the door of a small hut and pulled out an old brass key in which she slid into the keywhole and turned. She deposited her coat on the chair next to the door and walked further in. Her little sibblings, Soraya of twelve years, and Kile of fifteen years, were sitting in chairs off to the right of the room.
"Re! How did it go?" Kile asked, getting to his feet and walking over to his twenty-nine year old sister.
"Well, Queen Miranda is a grotesque leader." Reine answered in reply as she hugged her little sister Soraya. "What happened?" Soraya asked. "Blood lust..." Reine replied dismally...

Lord Dante watched Reine from across the street. Reine glanced over and turned away from him. "What are you blushing about?" Kile asked.
"Nothing." Reine replied and picked up some fruit, in which she paid for and put in her bag.
"I think you like Lord Dante." Soraya said. Reine looked at her dangerously.
"I do not. He is just a co-worker, who tries to seduce me." She said innocently. Kile smiled broadly.
"Let's go, you two. It is almost midnight and I have to meet Queen Miranda. So, hurry up and let's go." Reine ordered. Soraya automatically dropped the newspaper she was reading and walked over to her sister.
"Okay." She whispered. Kile walked over and they started back down the street.
BAM! Reine ran into a broad build. She looked up into midnight dark eyes. "Lady Reine..." Dante murmured as he breathed into her hair after he had caught her from falling.
"Lord Dante...This is...I am sorry for not watching where I was going. My apologies." She fiddled with the skirts of her dress and replaced herself between her sister and brother.
"Not a problem, Reine. Just let me...:" She slapped Dante's hand when he reached for her. "Hey!" He yelled.
Reine dragged Kile and Soraya away from Dante and walked into their hut. "I want you two to lock this door when I leave and don't answer it for anyone, understand?" She asked. The two nodded and she backed out of the hut.
"Lady Reine." Queen Miranda said. Reine looked to her.
"Yes, Milady?" She asked. She stepped over to her and knelt down.
"I want you to go into the park tonight and watch over it while my children feed. I will send...Lord Dante with you." Miranda said, ending with a smile. Reine moaned. She nodded and walked out of the throne room.
"Hello my beauty. Ready?" Dante asked, bowing to Reine and taking her hand and pressing it to his lips. Reine rolled her eyes and took her hand back.
"Yes I am ready. Let's go." She said. She walked past him and left the building. He smiled to himself and followed her out.
"Why do you always avoid me?" Dante asked, trying to keep up with her long strides through the dark park. Reine sighed and kept her eyes straight ahead.
"That is none of you buisness." She retorted. Dante grabbed her arm and stopped walking. She jerked backward and landed in his arms.
"You can't avoid me forever. I want you. Everything I want, I get. If you tell me why you avoid me it will just make getting you a whole lot easier." Dante rasped, looking down at her.
"What about, Queen Miranda?" was all Reine could speak out.
"That vampiress means nothing to me." Dante growled in disgust. Reine smiled weakly and realized she was in his arms still! She pulled away and straightened her dress again.
"Ahhhhhhhh!!" A young girl's screaming was heard in the background.
"SORAYA!" Reine yelled and ran toward the screaming."Reine! Wait!" Dante called after her. She ignored him and kept running. She heared a splash and looked down... Reine screamed and backed away from the puddle of blood, almost tripping over a rock.
"Reine, calm down. It's okay." Dante whispered in her ear when she started to panic. He grabbed her, out of good intentions, and pulled her away from the blood.
"I need... to get... Soraya... She needs... help." Reine whispered, out of breath, leaning against Dante's front. Dante smiled at the fact she was letting him hold her like he was, but then frowned to himself for his inconsideration to Reine's younger sister.
"Come, I know where she is." He said sternly. Reine, who was mad at herself for falling apart like this, let Dante pull her away. "Soraya! NO! You monster!" Reine yelled at, none other than, Queen Miranda.
"I have to say, Lady Reine, that I must agree with that accusation; I am a monster." Miranda said happily. Miranda dropped Soraya on the ground and Reine ran over to her almost dead sister.

Blood was seeping out of Soraya's neck. "Soraya! Don't die on me!" Reine cried. Dante moved forward and bent down next to them.
"Reine..." He murmured. Reine looked up at him, with her face soaked from tears, and her eyes puffy. She was caressing her sister in her arms. Dante put his hand on the side of her face.
"It's okay Reine." Dante started. Reine shook her head.
"No it isn't!" She yelled. Dante put his other hand on top of her.
"Yes it is...I can heal her." Reine looked up at him.
"What?" She asked. Dante smiled.
"Give her to me." Reine hesitated. She handed her sister over to him and he put his hands on her neck. His hands glew and he pulled them away.
"Thank the Lord." Reine exclaimed and threw her arms around Dante's neck. Dante smiled.
"You are welcome. Just let me," He pulled her away from him and covered her mouth with his. Reine had no idea how she kept landing in his arms. But this was the only time she wouldn't pull away.
She climbed on her knees and kissed him deeply. Dante put his arms around her back and pushed her against him, hard. Reine moaned and kissed him harder. She heard fast thumping in her ears. But she drowned them out.
"Reine..." Dante murmured weakly into her ear. Reine moaned as he brushed his lips over her ear. Her hands tightened on his shoulders and she tipped her head back as his tongue ran over her neck, teasingly.
"Lord Dante! I order you to stop this nonsense right now!" Queen Miranda yelled. Dante nibbled Reine's lips. He looked up.
"No." He growled and kissed Reine deeply. Reine's arms found their way into Lord Dante's opened shirt and wrapped themselves around his bare skin. He moaned. They pulled apart when they felt Soraya move.
"Reine?" Soraya asked, cluelessly. Reine smiled, her arms still in Dante's shirt. Soraya sat up to see she was sitting in Dante's lap. She stuggled to her feet and looked at her sister.
"Reine? What are you doing?" Soraya asked. Reine looked at Dante. She automatically pulled away and stood up. Dante looked confused.
"What was that for? I thought you liked it?" Dante asked. Reine groaned. She gave him a pleading look. He nodded and stood up. Miranda walked over to them.
"Both of you are fired. Each will be presented to the counsil and will get sentenced to life in jail." She threatened. Reine smiled and hugged her little sister.
"You know what, Miranda?" Reine asked "I don't care. I am taking my little brother and sister and we will leave for America. I am damn sick of Ireland." She walked off with Soraya at her side.
Dante followed.

"Kile pack your things!" Reine yelled as the door burst open and she waltzed in.
Soraya followed her sister and Lord Dante in the hut and closed the door behind her. "We are finally leaving Ireland!" She exclaimed.
Kile ran out into the hallway and huggled his sisters. "We're leaving Ireland?" He asked.
Reine nodded. "Yes, we are. Queen Miranda has put us on the death call. We need to leave the country immeadiately. We are going to America. Go to your rooms and begin packing we will leave at sunrise." She said.
Soraya and Kile shared happy smiles and ran off into the other room.
Reine stood in the hall, looking after her sibblings.
Dante came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her stomach. "I'll miss you, Reine." He whispered in her ear.
Reine looked up at him. "Come with us." She whispered.
Dante smiled. "I don't know. Are you sure you'd want me to come? I'm sure you have been avoiding me." He said.
Reine sighed and closed her eyes. "I'm sure. You make me crazy. Please come with us." She whispered.
"Yeah, Dante. Come with us. It would be fun." Kile said from the doorway.
Reine and Dante looked over to him. Soraya and Kile were watching them.
Reine looked at Dante. "What do you say?" She asked.
Dante sighed. He bent his head down and kissed Reine's lips gently. "Of course I will go with you, Reine. But..." He trailed off.
Reine looked troubled. "But what?" She asked.
"There is one condition." He said.
"And what is that?" Reine asked, turning in his arms so her front was against his.
"You marry me." Dante whispered.
Reine breathed in quickly. "Yes," She let out her breath as she spoke. "I will marry you." She whispered.
Dante smiled. "Good," He murmured, and kissed her.

"Are you serious?" Soraya asked.
"Serious about what, sweetheart?" Reine asked.
"You two are gonna get married?" She asked, looking between Reine and Dante.
Reine smiled. "Yeah, once we get out of the country." She said.
Kile and Soraya ran up to her and Dante and hugged them both.
"We need to get going. Soraya, Kile get your bags. Be in here in ten minutes." Reine ordered.
Kile and Soraya raced each other into the other room.
Reine walked into the other room and began to pack.
Dante walked into the room when she was done and carried the bags into the living room.
"When do we leave?" Kile asked.
"In a few minutes, sweetheart." Reine answered. "What's wrong?" She asked.
Kile had a hold of a book that he was squeezing real tight. "I see something." He said.
"What do you see, sweetheart?" Reine asked, bending down in front of him.
"Queen Miranda. She...She has a flock of vampire with her coming this way right now." Kile said.
Reine looked at Dante. "Come on. We'll go out the back." She said.
Dante picked Soraya up and carried her out the back door. Reine grabbed Kile's hand and pulled him out the back door.
Dante waited at the door for Reine. "Come on. Keep running through the field, don't stop." Dante said.
Reine nodded. "Be careful, Dante." She said. She grabbed Soraya's hand and pulled her and Kile through the corn field.
